"I am Yeasir, son of Lanadriath. I am commander of Nagarythe. I fought at Athel Toralien and the Battle of Silvermere. I marched with Prince Malekith into the north and faced the creatures and daemons of the Dark Gods. I was the first in Anlec when Morathi was overthrown. Ten times ten thousand enemies have felt my wrath! Come and taste the vengeance of my spear and the ire of my sword. Come to me, brave soldiers, and face a true warrior!"

—Yeasirs, Commander of Nagarythe [2b]

Yeasir was a lieutenant of Malekith during the colonization of the Old World. Loyal to his liege, Yeasir acted as a voice of caution, trying to keep him from succumbing to his ambitions. When Malekith was burned by the fire of the Shrine of Asuryan, Yeasir, believing to act in the interests of Malekith, turned against Morathi and was slain, never becoming one of the druchii.

Biography[]

Yeasir was raised as a lieutenant of Malekith during the latters expansion across the Old World. He was present when Malekith first met with representatives of the dwarfs and fought with his lord in many battles against the native monsters of the Old World. Afterwards, Yeasir was sent back to the Phoenix Court and Anlec while Malekith further spent time with the dwarfs. [1a]

After the death of High King Snorri Whitebeard, Yeasir followed Malekith on his quest into the north, chosen by the Prince because Yeasir had no family left. [1b] At the edges of the Chaos Wastes, Yeasir warned Malekith that if they would continue further, they would reach the Polar Gates and would vanish, their tale ending not in glory, but in nothing. [1c] When Malekith discovered the ruins of Vorshgar, Yeasir warned him to not touch the Circlet of Iron found in the temple of the city and fought against the undead that rose to defend its treasures when the prince of Nagarythe rejected his advice. [1c] He accompanied Malekith in his quest to purge his realm from the Cytharai cultists, leading his spearmen companies and being raised as the Commander of Nagarythe for his valor. [1d]

Afterwards, he was sent by Malekith to root out the remaining cultists. As part of these duties, Yeasir came to the lords of House Anar to put them under house parole, although he himself did not believe in their guilt and considered it a political ploy by a rival noble house. [2a] When Malekith apparently perished at the Council of Princes conveyed at the Island of Flame, Morathi returned to power in Nagarythe. While he saw this and the returning power of the cults as threats, his loyalty to Nagarythe prevented him from open rebellion. Yeasir was sent to secure the claim of a candidate to rule Tiranoc backed by Nagarythe as a puppet state. During his stay in Tor Anroc, he met Alith Anar, who had stayed there in hiding. In him, Yeasir saw a way to save the innocent daughter-in-law of Bel Shanaar and her child, as well as his own family. Misdirecting the search party, he gave them the means to flee east to Ellyrion, protected by Alith. When Yeasirs duplicity was discovered by the servants of Morathi, he sacrificed his life to allow them to flee to safety. [2b]
