- For the 2008 game by Mythic Entertainment, see Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
Warhammer Online was the title of an unreleased videogame that was in development by British developer Climax Studios, in the early 2000s. It was going to be a massively-multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe created by Games Workshop. It was cancelled in 2004.
Development[]
Development on the game possibly began around 2000, although possibly 2001 or 2002.
Paul Barnett, a British game designer who later worked at Mythic Entertainment, was involved in the game's production and was part of a presentation about the game at E3 in May 2004.
By the 21st of June 2004, the game had been cancelled.
The license for a Warhammer Fantasy MMO was given to Mythic Entertainment, who ended up developing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
