"Plaguespitter! Go back to Vecteek. His paws might need licking. Hurry-scurry!"

—Vrrmik rudely dismisses Puskab Foulfur

Vrrmik was the Skaven Warlord or "clanlord" of Clan Mors and a Lord of Decay during the time of the Black Death in 1111 IC and would later become the Grand Supreme Warlord of All Skavendom over the final period of the Skaven Wars before being slain in the Howling Hills of Hochland where he was beheaded by Mandred Skavenslayer.[2c]

An especially large Skaven specimen, Vrrmik had white-fur.

History

Vrrmik held great envy against Vecteek the Murderous, the representative of Clan Rictus and holder of the twelfth seat of the Council of Thirteen.[1a] During the invasion of Karak Grazhyakh, the Dwarf city underneath the Fauschlag of Middenheim, Clan Rictus sent Clan Mors to invade, hoping to weaken their rival while claiming the main share of the glory. Vrrmik instead conspired with Clan Pestilens to secure his own victory.[1b]

During the assault, the Skaven warlord was able to claim a runic weapon of the Dwarfs, the hammer Drakdrazh, and then feigned defeat, which caused the army of Middenheim under Mandred von Zelt to return to the surface, assaulting the army of Vecteek of Clan Rictus from behind.[1c] Following the defeat of Vecteek, Vrrmik became the Grand Supreme Warlord of All Skavendom.[1d]

In his new position, Vrrmik was responsible for waging war against Mandred von Zelt, now renowned as Mandred Skavenslayer. He tried to bait him during the siege of Averheim, but was thwarted.[2a] During that battle, Vrrmik lost an ear through Legbiter, the Runefang of Middenland wielded by Mandred.[2b] [3a]

Seeking revenge and finding that most clans began to desert the cause as a rogue strain of the Black Death began to infect their own, Vrrmik sought to force a confrontation. In the Howling Hills of Hochland, the armies of the Skaven and the Empire fought for one last time in the Skaven Wars. Mandred smashed Vrrmik's stolen and Warpstone-infused weapon with Sigmar's ancient warhammer Ghal Maraz and ended the Skaven Warlord's life by beheading him.[2c]

The Skaven's skull was fashioned into the Helm of the Skavenslayer, which remained in the Imperial Armoury. Vrrmik was succeeded by Krricht Dwarf-Slicer as the new overlord of Clan Mors following his death.[3b]

Appearance

"He was a hulking, brutish Skaven, black Warpstone armor guarding a pelt white as snow."

—Description of Warlord Vrrmik

Vrrmik was described as a nightmare; a white-furred Skaven massive even by the standards of Clan Mors, a clan known for its large warriors.

In contrast to his fur, the Warpstone Armour Vrrmik wore was a deep ebony.[1b] His monstrous size and strength was due to his regular consumption of Warpweed, which made Vrrmik stronger than a Human or even a Dwarf.

Vrrmik also had a quartet of horns, like those of some Grey Seers.

Wargear

  • Warpstone Armour - Steeped in Warpstone powder, Vrrmik's armour was crafted by the artisans of Clan Skryre. Extremely well made, it protected its wearer against everything from the teeth of a Hydra to the blades of hired Eshin Assassins and had a hideous propensity for dealing damage. This armour's only drawback was that it severely hindered Vrrmik's sense of smell, allowing his fellow Skaven to sometimes sneak up on him.[1b]
  • Skavenbite
  • Grey-Seer Warhorn - This was a warhorn fashioned from the horn of a Grey Seer that Vrrmik used to sound the attack, withdrawal, and other battle formations.[1b]

Note

In Power Behind The Throne, Vrrmik's name is misspelled as "Vrrnik."

Canon Conflict

As a white-furred Skaven who possessed horns, Vrrmik would normally have been classed as a Grey Seer. However, he is a Skaven Warlord and seems to possess no other unusual or magical qualities beyond his unusual physical strength.
