Ulfwerener means 'Wolf Warriors', and is the word used by the Norse to describe those members of their society who are able to transform their shape into a grotesque half-man half-wolf. Such individuals are quite common in northern Norsca, where whole families of these werewolves lie in forest settlements.[1a]
Ulfwerener are much feared throughout the Warhammer World as fearsome fighters, whether in man or wolf form. The black and terrible deeds of the Ulfwerener over the years have led many of the horror stories about the Norse, and have given them a well-deserved reputation for ferocity in battle.[1a]
Trivia[]
- The Ulfwerener are possibly based on UlfheĆ°nar, a type of Berserker that wore Wolf and Hound skins before going to war, going into a frenzy during battles.
