The Temple of Morr and Toteninsel Cemetery
The Toteninsel Cemetery is the great paupers' graveyard in Altdorf. It is located in the Toteninsel district, not far from the city's main Temple of Morr.[1a]
Aside from the rows of ordinary graves, the graveyard also features a deep lime pit which functions as a mass grave during wars, epidemics, or other catastrophes. A small shrine sits towards the back of the cemetery. Those who died suspiciously are interred here, each with a raven amulet around their neck to protect them from necromancy.[1a]
Frau Katarina Schädel is the senior Grave Warden. She leads an ever-rotating team of acolytes from the Mourners' Guild, who are generally serving their last term before ordination as priests. Despite its proximity to the Temple of Morr, the Toteninsel Cemetery's low status means it receives little funding from the cult.[1a]
