Since the Great Necromancer commanded the waters of the Vitae River to be poisoned, its waters have become the colour of rotten blood, and its banks have become sickly and corrupted, populated only by the husks of deathless waterfowl, its floodplains stalked by great undead beasts. The Swamp of Terror lies within the domian of the Kings of Zandri.[1a]
