Stormlord Karnji Ravenbeard
The Storm Wardens are a throng operating out of Barak Varr responsible for the gathering of intelligence and forewarning of incoming threats to the Karaz Ankor at large. It is their sworn duty to discern credible information to forewarn the holds, and if possible, to quell the storm before it is even unleashed. The leader of the Storm Wardens, Stormlord Karnji Ravenbeard, is well-known for his cunning and battle prowess, yet few know of his more subtle talents of outmaneuvering his opponents with surprise tactics. Unconventional and risky for a Dwarf, none can deny his accomplishments: through sheer grit and wit, Karnji fought his way to victories that many perceived as a lost cause.[1a]
Many Rangers from Barak Varr act as the core of the throng, skilled in patrolling the trade routes and coastal approaches. A large regiment of Hammerers known as the Storm Guard are stationed as Karnji's personal guard when he leads the army and act as his heralds when he is absent.[1a]
