Rendering of the Staff of Volans from Total War: Warhammer
The Staff of Volans belonged to the first Supreme Patriarch of the Colleges of Magic, who was taught by Teclis of Ulthuan during the Great War Against Chaos. Originally forged by Fredrick von Tarnus,[2a] it has been the symbol of office for the Supreme Patriarchs ever since, allowing the wielder to bend the Winds of Magic more easily to his will.[1a]
