Sky-Boats were used by the ancient Nehekharans. Made from modified river boats, a large bladder of canvas was used to trap air spirits that lifted the ship up.[1a] Maintained by the priesthood of Tahoth, the centre of their construction was Lybaras. They were stable enough to carry entire companies of soldiers, as well as cargo, and archers could unleash hails of arrows from them on unsuspecting enemy troops below.[1a] Production ceased after the devastating wars against Nagash and his followers, yet the armies of the Tomb Kings can still utilise them, with bone-ribbed war-barques sailing majestically above the the sands in mockery of the laws of nature, banks of oars stirring the dry air.[2a]

A smaller design was the so-called “Skybox”, which had roughly the size of a chariot. It was used to transport scouts who had to move quickly.[1b]
