Sileno is a Tilean town that suffered from a failed Skaven attack later known as the Liberation of Sileno. During the battle, the mercenaries of Liotta's Legion played a vital role in defending the settlement.[1a]
History[]
Liberation of Sileno[]

Pietr and Torben, mercenaries of Liotta's Legion who fought the Skaven who attacked Sileno and defeated them.[1a]
Around the campfires, the men's talk was rife with tales of the Skaven's arcane war machines, such as the Screaming Bell. After the battle, once the ratmen had been routed and the day was won, the war machine was destroyed but one of the smaller bells from the vehicle's carriage was saved and put in the church crypt of the town as a reminder of Sileno's victory over the ratmen.[1a]
Trivia[]
In Greek mythology, Silenus (called Sileno in Italian) was a companion and tutor to Dionysus, the god of wine. He is typically older than the satyrs of the Dionysian retinue, and sometimes considerably older, in which case he may be referred to as a Papposilenus.
