"In winning, you have lost. My kinsman, Senduiuiel, doubtless learned that bitter lesson long ago - as you will also. The hour will soon come, Trystan harper, when you will wish that you had taken what we had to give instead of refusing it. But we are elves, and we keep our bargains. We keep them very well. We will depart from this land as soon as we can - there are other tasks for us to accomplish, other places where we may prosper. You will never see us again in Morien."

Kerewan to Trystan the Bard[2b]
The voyage south

The High Elven wizard Senduiuiel Cortengren, aboard The Rose of Aramam, faces Admiral Escribano's fleet.[1]

Senduiuiel Cortengren, often called by the diminutive "Send," is a Sea Elf wizard dedicated to the Cult of Slannesh, and a skilled archer, resident in the Elf quarter of Bilbali in the warm, southern land of Estalia.[1][2c]

Long ago in Ulthuan, Senduiuiel studied daemonology with another mage, Kerewan, but the two High Elves took very different paths.[2a]

During the siege of the harbour of Magritta by an alliance between the Sea Elves and the Arabyan fleet of Sultan Hamqa the Divine of Aiir who sought to stop the Magrittan embargo on the Southern Sea, Cortengren dared to unleash a Keeper of Secrets, a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh, against Rhug'guari'ihlulan, a Bloodthirster of Khorne, who had possessed the Magrittan admiral Escribano.[1]
