The Reiksguard Chapters House in Altdorf is a walled castle that could be defended should the rest of the city fall. The houses around it are kept shorter than the chapter house. The chapter house has two gates. The larger is decorated with a frieze depicting Emperor Wilhelm III’s coronation, and is therefore known as the Wilhelm Gate. The smaller, called the White Gate, has only a statue of Shallya.
Buildings inside the chapter house include the chapel, the Grand Hall, and the main tower. There are also numerous monuments and statues of the Empire’s heroes. The chapter house also contains practice fields for knights to train on, barracks for novices and brother-knights, a subterranean pool, the order’s library where the Reiksguard annals are kept, and a sanatorium.
