Red Maria, also known as the Infant Princess of Sartosa, was the Pirate Princess of Sartosa during the Pirate Wars, a conflict fought between 2458 and 2478 IC on the seas of the Old World.[1a][2a]
History[]
Marienburger and Imperial ships form an alliance to break the pirate fleet of Red Maria. The conflict culminates in 2478 IC with the Battle of the Torpid Sea.[1a]
Today there are many rumors who insist that the Infant Princess of Sartosa, was kidnapped on the eve of her coronation in 2458 IC by pirates and probably drowned on one of the sunken pirate ships during the Battle of the Tides in Bretonnia. Tilean mercenaries have even been despatched to Mousillon from Sartosa to recover her body, but so far none have been successful and few have even returned. Though with time, the timbers will rot and the bones will turn to dust, the Pirate's Grave could still yield up its secrets up until the very end.[2a][2b]
The Knights of the Blazing Sun, to the other hand, would dearly love to recover their lost Sun Crown of Bilbali, and it is probable that it went down on one of the ships destroyed in the battle of the Tides.[2b]
