The raven, is a dark omen of Morr, god of death and dreams.[2a]
Ravens, the infamous black birds that prowl battlefields for carrion, are a common sight in the Old World. Believed to be birds of ill omen, the eyes of necromancers—and worse—ravens elicit fear in most commoners. Still, a raven can be trained like other birds to be a companion, although their usefulness is not as great as that of a falcon or owl.[1a] Sometimes they are also used to send messages.[5a] They are not to be confused with crows.

A raven is used to send a message ouside the city walls of a besieged Tilean city-state.[5a]
Ravens are considered omens of Morr,[2a] and are also sacred to the Elven gods Khaine and Morai-heg. The Norscans also associated the Chaos god Tzeentch with the raven.[3][4]
