Pha'a is a malevolent, ancient Nehekharan god who is believed to exist as a disembodied spirit that dwells in a tomb beneath the sands of Nehekhara.[1a]

History[]

It was the Nehekharans' belief that their gods dwelt in their Great Land in the time before the birth of Men. It is said that the span of these deities' lives was numbered in millions of years. After this golden era when the gods walked as Men, they became invisible spirits, able to take on any form that they desired.[1a]

Some Nehekharan divinities, however, took no particular form, and it is these that are the most mysterious and sinister of all. Pha'a and Usekhp are two of these gods, said to dwell in spirit form within mighty tombs buried beneath the sands, and their names are used in the direst of curses and invocations.[1a]

The Liche Priests believe that they were trapped there by the other gods for their destructive ways, and that it is their breath that gave life to the Necrosphinxes as a means by which to vent their fury upon the mortal world.[2a]
