A Norse kingship is a Norscan longship that often serves as the flagship of a Norscan king or chieftain and whose crew is made up of a number of different warrior classes, though all are soldiers first, and sailors second. This doesn't mean they are poor sailors -- far from it; the Norscans are amongst the most accomplished seafarers in the Known World. What it does mean is that given the choice between a long voyage or taking part in a bloodthirsty battle, the fight would win every time among a kingship's crew.[1a]
Norscans who take to the seas in search of treasure, glory and war are usually from one of the following four warrior classes: Ulfwerener, Berserkers, Bondsmen, or Huscarls.[1a]
