Prince Nicol, also spelled Prince Nikol, was the unfortunate brother of an Emperor of Man.[1a]
Nicol's demise came when he became the lover of Salli Spaak, an actress, courtesan, and Tzeentchian Chaos Cultist. Salli, as she did to her other lovers, poisoned Nicol by adding powdered warpstone to his food. When he began to mutate, Nicol panicked, and hanged himself from the Reik Bridge in Altdorf.[1a]
Canon Conflict[]
In the novel Genevieve Undead it establishes that Nicol, whose name is spelled "Nikol," lived just over 50 years before the present in the late 25th century IC, and that he was a prince of House Holswig-Schliestein, the younger brother of the Emperor of Man of that time, who is never named but was likely Mattheus II.[2a]
However, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th Edition: Altdorf - Crown of the Empire, establishes that Nicol instead lived almost two centuries before the present, in the 24th century IC, and was the brother of Emperor Leopold Unfähiger, and thus a member of a completely different Imperial dynasty.[1a]
