Morelion was the first son of Aenarion, and was presumed dead until both he and his sister Yvraine returned from Athel Loren.
History fails to accurately record exactly why Morelion was not considered as a potential successor to the Phoenix Throne. Morelion, it appears contented himself by taking possession of several of the mightiest heirlooms created for the wars against the Daemons and retiring to Avelorn where he could ensure the continued safety of his sister, Yvraine.[1a]
