Minotaur's Bane is an ancient Chaos Weapon in the form of an axe that bestows the unwholesome bloodlust of the Minotaur race upon its wielder.[1a]
History[]
A patrol of Druchii Dark Riders from Har Ganeth annihilated a warband guarding an infernal forge in the wilderness. There they discovered an anvil made of Minotaur skulls, and an axe cooling in a pool of blood. When he tested the blade, the captain of the patrol was gripped by the grisly desire to tear the flesh from the recently dead and wolf it down.
His warriors fled from his appetite and only returned when he had sated himself and fallen asleep. Believing him possessed, the party slew their captain and destroyed the forge. Yet, in the mad way of the Druchii, the party claimed the evil weapon as their prize and returned with it to Har Ganeth to be presented to their lord.
Chaos Weapon Property[]
The Minotaur's Bane has the special Chaos Weapon property known as Minotaur. The weapon is armour-piercing by nature, but can easily drive its wielder into a frenzy after they deal a wound with the weapon.[2a]
