Mazhorod's location on a map of Kislev during the alternate timeline of the Storm of Chaos.
Mazhorod is a fairly practicable ford near Bolgasgrad which allows you to cross the Urskoy river, a large pebble bank placed in a bend of the majestic centuries-old river, which slows its course and lowers the water level. On either side of the ford unfolds an immense open plain, bare, thinly planted with twisted shrubs, gorse and steppe thistles. A high, young mountain range stretches to the west and a maze of rocky hills to the southeast.[1]
In the Kislevite language, this place is called Mazhorod, but the Kurgans know it as Khâr'phak Aqshyek because, in the distant past, an important battle in their history took place there. Walking through the neighboring fields in summer, it is possible to find old arrowheads, shield umbilics, bridle rings and other trinkets left there during this ancient fight. In 2521, another battle has pitted the Kurgan horde of Surtha Lenk and Kislev's army Fyodor Kurkosk , Boyard of Sanyza, who was victorious despite the ploy Magus who froze the river for the horde to pass.[1]
