Masnada 2

Giuseppe, Knud, Britta, Ilona, and Mikhail

The Masnada is a small Tilean criminal group, with operations throughout the Empire.[1a]

Notable Members[]

Claudia Carbonetti[]

Masnada

Claudia Carbonetti and Paolo Gentile

Claudia Carbonetti is a a minor member of the band, a vicious and evil brute, but she does have a certain native cunning. She hails from Miragliano, and together with her younger siblings is currently setting up a branch of ‘the family business’ in Middenheim. She walks with a sense of casual menace, and most have difficulty meeting her gaze. She is middle-aged, with olive brown skin and an unnerving gaze.[1a]

She pulled a kidnapping operation on her own, but her failure stained the honour of the family, and Claudia's brothers seek revenge by trying to kill Alphonse, an investigator who has put a spoke in the wheel.[2a]

She planned this kidnapping operation on her own as a way to make up a loan owed to the family back in Miragliano. Unfortunately, her failure has left a stain on Claudia’s family honour, and a debt unpaid to boot. Claudia’s siblings, a trio of particularly dangerous bandits who cut their teeth raiding caravans returning from the Border Princes, are sure to seek their revenge.[1a]

Paolo Gentile[]

Paolo Gentile came with Claudia to Middenheim. While completely loyal to Claudia, Paolo’s pathological sadism sometimes causes problems for his boss. It is completely useless to ask Paolo to interrogate anyone, since the victim usually dies before they have a chance to answer any questions.[1a]

Giuseppe the Dog[]

Giuseppe is a Tilean Manhound, a vicious terrier-like brute bred for mayhem. He is completely loyal to Claudia and attacks in a frenzy when given a verbal or hand signal. Giuseppe is midnight black, wears a spiked collar, and has ugly scars on his back gained from many previous combats.[1a]

Knud, Britta, Ilona, and Mikhail[]

Knud, Britta, Ilona, and Mikhail, these toughs are freelance legbreakers, hired via Claudia’s contacts with Edam Gouda. None are particularly innovative, and none would risk their neck to save another. Knud is 5’10” and blond; Britta is 5’9” and has brown hair; Ilona is 5’5” and Mikhail is 6’2”, both with black hair.[1a]

Canon Conflict[]

In Warhammer Companion 1st Edition Claudia was a man called Claudio, now the aesthetics of that character is turned in that of Paolo Gentile, and Giuseppe's name was spelt Guiseppe, probably by mistake.[1a][2a]

Trivia[]

Masnada is an Italian word that could means: a group of people engaged in acts of dishonesty or violence. Or In the Middle Ages, a complex of servants assigned to the person of the lord.
