Magical rings are usually of plain gold or silver, although many have gem settings and intricate designs to enable the wizard who enchanted them to track them down should they be lost or stolen! It is worthy of note that no individual or creature can benefit from wearing more than two magical rings at the same time.[1a]

Magical rings can be of many types.[1a] They are generally a boon to the wearer, but some can cause curses to fall upon anyone who puts the ring on. [2]

Types of Magical Rings[]

  • Ring of Agility - A Ring of Agility gives the wearer supernaturally increased reflexes, allowing them to dodge their opponents' blows.[2]
  • Amulet Ring - This ring has a power identical to one of the amulets of various types.[1a]
  • Ring of Fortitude - A Ring of Fortitude increases the amount of physical damage the wearer can withstand.[2]
  • Ring of Gift of Tongues - The ability to speak any language is invoked with the command, "Speak and Be Known to Me."[4a]
  • Ring of Magic Lock - The ability to magically lock a container or room is invoked with the command, "Bar to Mine Enemy."[4a]
  • Ring of Cure Light Injury - This magical ring's power is invoked with the command, "In Shallya's Name" or "The blessing of Shallya on this one, who comes in humble supplication," or still, "In Ulric's name, heal this warrior."[4a]
  • Ring of Jade - A magical ring made of jade, most often worn by Warrior Priests, has the power to regenerate the wearer's wounds. However, it occasionally causes damage to them instead.[2]
  • Ring of Protection Against Chaos - When invoked by the phrase, "Chaos avert! In Solkan's name!", or 'Death to Chaos!', or 'By the Hammer of Sigmar, Blast Ye, Chaos Fiend!' a magical shield shrouds the wearer and protects them from the energies of Chaos.[4a]
  • Protection Ring - This ring protects the wearer against one monster or type of attack. Rings of Protection from Undead, Daemons, Chaos, Greenskins, Fimir, and Ethereal Undead are known, but there may be more. Furthermore, Rings of Protection from fire, missiles, swords, spells, and magical weapons are known to exist.[1a]
  • Ring of Regeneration - A Ring of Regeneration slowly and gradually heals the wearer of all physical damage.[2]
  • Spell Ring - This type of magical ring contains one spell, which the wearer can cast at any time without expending magical energy, even by those who are not spellcasters. Most spell rings have a trigger word of some kind, which must be discovered before the ring can be used.[1a]
  • Lightning Fire Ring - These rings have the ability to strike the wearer's enemies with magical lightning.[2]
  • Multiple Spell Ring - This ring works in exactly the same way as a Spell Ring, but contains two to four spells.[1a]
  • Ring of Strength - This type of magical ring increases the wearer's physical strength.[2]
  • Ring of Sure Striking - A magical ring of this type increases the bearer's likelihood of hitting their enemies in combat and the accuracy of their strikes.[2]
  • Warding Ring - This magical ring renders the wearer completely immune to the effects of one spell. Not only will the spell have no effect on the wearer, if the wearer is a spellcaster, the wearer will not be able to cast that particular spell while wearing the ring either.[1a]
  • Multiple Warding Ring - This magical ring works in exactly the same way as a Warding Ring, but protects the wearer against two to four spells.[1a]
