Wife of Kaspar von Velten, Madeline died three years before her husband was appointed Imperial Ambassador to Kislev. The noblewoman suffered from a weak heart, which convinced Kaspar to purchase an honorable discharge after returning from campaign in the Border Princes. Madeline collapsed in the family garden while tending her roses, the priest of Morr saying her heart simply gave out, and had no more life to give.[1a]
