"There is no end to the vile horrors that madness could drive one so foul to enact."

Khargan the Crazed as depicted in Total War: Warhammer III.

Khargan the Crazed was a mad Chaos Champion obsessed with bringing devastation to the civilised nations of the Old World. Possesed by an unquenchable thirst for violence and slaughter, Khargan gathered a warband of Warriors of Chaos to join him in his quest to ravage the mortal world. Some of his followers just wanted to follow a madman such as he into infamy, not caring about the inevitable consequences.[1]

Some tales told in bawdy taverns, or recounted amid frightened whispers in small towns, describe Khargan the Crazed as the personification of Chaos itself. Gripped by delirium and madness, this distinguished Chaos Warrior is an Exalted Hero of the Ruinous Powers, drawing the most avid worshippers of blood and carnage to his banner to wreak havoc upon the mortal realms.[1]

Though he spirals in a blood frenzy of his own making, Khargan is not without direction. He leads his warband against the forces of Order wherever they appear, and pledges himself to any cause that will lead him into the heart of violent slaughter.[1]

Khargan the Crazed and his warband served in the horde of the Nurglish Chaos Lord Tamurkhan, with the mad Champion becoming one of the chieftains of the Maggot Lord's armies.[1]
