Kalita, the God of trade has temples in his honour at the Water and Mountain Gates of Praag, though to the untrained eye, they look suspiciously like taverns. And they are, but they also contain alcove shrines to the silver-handed God. Both are right by the gates (the southern one even has direct access to the river), and it is tradition among traders to stop on their way out of the city and ask for a safe journey, while merchants often make their final deals in the private rooms upstairs. All of this dealing greatly benefits the Vampires who secretly run the two taverns to keep track of almost every business deal in the city.[1a]
