A map of the southern regions of the Southern Sea as depicted in Man O' War: Corsair. Each location's name matches those used in the game. The symbols depicting which faction is patrolling each area represents their positions in 2517 IC but are subject to minor changes as the game's campaign progresses. Isla Verde is both the name of an island and that portion of the sea that surrounds it.[2a]
Isla Verde is an unclaimed equatorial island located off the south-western coast of Estalia, used occasionally by pirates as a base. The trees of the island's lush forest, including cycads and date palms, coat the steep island. The thick, emerald undergrowth is misty with rising vapour and rings with the cries of parakeets and cockatelles.[1a]
A Spectre haunted the island, a stark, white figure of dead bones sewn into a black cloth. The howling creature had long, bony arms, which ended in spidery fingers as sharp as needles of sailcloth. This grieving soul was once the pirate captain Reyno Bloodlock, cursed to Undeath by the Butcher Ship. He was eventually exorcised by a ritual of Dark Magic.[1a]
Porto Real is located closer to Isla Verde than Isla d'Azure.[1a]
