Isabella Delecta is a young woman and famous beauty in Tilea who had been locked up by her parents in the Leaning Tower of Catrazza in order to force her to marry an old and cruel merchant named Grobbo from Miragliano.[1a][3a]
Her lover Alfeo Romeo, a young man from Remas, commissioned the later Birdmen of Catrazza mercenary company to free his lover from her high prison. Dadallo and his birdmen succeeded in freeing Isabella, although the tower was guarded by a troop of crossbowmen.[1a]
Trivia[]
The story between the two lovers mirrors the classic romance: The doomed love of Romero and Juliana of Remas,[2a] which in turn is inspired by William Shakespeare's real-world play, Romeo and Juliet.
