Infernius

The Advisor braves the hellish landscape of Infernius to meet with Skarbrand and make him an offer he can't refuse.

Infernius was the home of the Exalted Bloodthirster Skarbrand following his exile from the Blood God's Domain in the Realm of Chaos. It was located in the Chaos Wastes of the mortal world as the primary settlement of the region known as the Bloodfire Falls.^[1a]

The land around Infernius is a soot-blackened landscape, criss-crossed with rivers of lava, as it has been influenced by the corruption of Khorne to resemble the Blood God's realm within the Aethyr. An active volcano near the Bloodthirster's settlement feeds these molten rivers. The land is also liberally littered with piles of skulls, collected and stored by Skarbrand and the Exiles of Khorne who serve him. When he is not reaping skulls, the mighty Bloodthirster can be found here, sharpening Carnage and Slaughter, his murderous battleaxes.^[1a]

Infernius is one of the few places where the Court of the Covenent, a neutral territory within the Realm of Chaos, can be accessed from the mortal realm. Here, truces are created and hostilities between the Dark Gods in the eternal Great Game are annulled, if only for a time. ^[1a]

Piles of skulls are a common sight in Skarbrand's encampment in Infernius, as is the skull-like Mark of Khorne.

The Advisor braved the horrid sights of Infernius in order to offer Skarbrand the chance to claim the skull of the Kislevite bear god Ursun and so regain the favour of Khorne.
