Imperial Cross

The Imperial Cross

The Imperial Cross, also sometimes called the Cross of Sigmar, is the most commonly used symbol to represent the Empire as a whole. It is also a commonly used symbol for the most important Imperial deity, Sigmar Heldenhammer, who was the founder of the Empire. The Imperial Cross is a long-standing symbol of Imperial unity. The top three arms of the Cross stand for the northern, western, and eastern tribes of the ancient Empire, and the bottom refers to the Dwarfs, the Empire's oldest and staunchest allies. It has connotations of unity and oaths fulfilled. The Imperial Cross is often inscribed on official documents issued by the Emperor or by one of the Elector Counts and is also a popular icon displayed on the banners of Imperial and Sigmarite armies.
