Feral ice bears as portrayed in Total War: Warhammer III.[2]
An ice bear is a white-furred bear larger than their southern cousins, who live in the far north of the Known World. These creatures use their white fur to hunt invisibly on the tundra. They are frequently man-eaters and can smell such prey from miles away. To hunt and slay an ice bear is a deed worthy of many songs; to tame one, as Tzar Boris Bokha of Kislev did, is a deed of legend.[1a]
From head to haunch, the ice bear is a lumbering mass of muscle. Apex predators of the frosty north, tempered against the fringe energies of Chaos, these born-killers ambush their meals cloaked in snowy white. Frequent manhunters, stories of Kislevite forager parties going missing at the borders of an ice bear's range surface all too frequently.[2]
Trivia[]
"Ice bears" seem to be the Known World equivalent of real-life polar bears.
