Cast time (or casting time) is a Warhammer Online mechanic where time is needed to carry out a spell or some other ability before it takes effect, measured in seconds. Cast time will show in the UI as a blue bar that progressively fills up during the casting time and the spell effect will not happen until the bar fills completely. Abilities with cast times are susceptable to interrupts, which can block them before they are finished.
