Half-orcs 1

Half-Orcs[2]

A Half-Orc, also referred to as a Half-caste[1], is a type of Greenskin rumoured to exist near the Eastern Steppes.[3] Their stature and features are highly variable, but appear to be a mix of Human and Orc traits, a feat that is said by some to have been accomplished only through evil, perverted magics in the distant past.[2] Despite their common name, such individuals may actually be of Goblin or Hobgoblin blood.

Half-Orcs are violent and mean-hearted in nature and readily turn to brigandry, theft, and assassination. Although Half-Orcs are generally outcasts who live in their own small communities, they have been known to be recruited as mercenaries, especially by dark forces willing to tolerate their malicious behavior. In times past, they have suffered enslavement and extermination attempts.[1]

Half-castes worship several dark gods. The clergy of individual cults will wear the skins and furs of their particular cult animal, often a boar or wolf, but tend to see themselves as warriors all the same and readily wear armour despite its tendency to repel the Winds of Magic and thus limit their spellcasting capabilities.[2]

Game History[]

Half-Orcs were discarded as an intelligent mortal race of the Known World after their appearance in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st Edition in favour of Human mutants that took their place in the lore. However, on a more recent map made by an adventurer, there is a note about rumors regarding a tribe of "Demi Orcs" present in the Badlands that could be a tribute to them.
