Gragoth Daemonmaster was a powerful Chaos Sorcerer at the service of the Skaven of Skavenblight who maintained a magical maze for them in the caverns of that subterranean city that was intended to protect a piece of the Shattered Amulet of the God of Law Solkan.[1a]
Gragoth enlisted the aid of the assassins of Clan Eshin, whose warriors guarded the amulet even after their death as Undead troops. Some of them wear magical neckbands, bonded onto their skin and covered with arcane runes. These neckbands have magical healing powers.[1a]
Daemonmaster is actually only an Undead spirit who has been cursed to remain trapped on the mortal plane. Tired of his disembodied existence, Daemonmaster wishes to cast his soul into oblivion. He can only do so by relinquishing his claim on the Shattered Amulet to someone else who wants it.[1a]
