Graeling emblem Total War Warhammer

The icon of the Graelings as depicted in Total War: Warhammer.[2]

The Graelings are one of the major Human tribes of Norsca.

During the time of Archaon's quest to become the thirteenth Everchosen, the Graelings resisted him, using the Werekin of Fjirgard to combat him. The Herald of the Apocalypse defeated them only after his own forces suffered heavy losses due to the Graelings' valour.[1a]

Storm of Chaos[]

During the alternate timeline of the Storm of Chaos invasion of the Old World by Archaon the Everchosen, the Graelings were led by Haargroth the Blooded, one of Archaon's lieutenants who was a Chaos Champion of Khorne.

Notable Graelings[]

  • Harald Whyrlas - A warlord of the Graeling, Harald Whyrlas has an ambition to unite all the tribes of Norsca into one nation, using intimidation and the promise of stability. Those who do not wish him to rule point out that if he does not control Skeggi, he cannot claim to truly rule all of Norsca. Although nobody in the far north gives a cold walrus fart for the opinion of southerners, this technicality sticks in the warlord's craw, who has sent a secret group of agents to find a way to acquire and prove the loyalty of Skeggi's "king," Adella of the Thousand Mouths.[3a]
  • Verdandi - Verdandi was a Graeling sea-maiden who ventured into an ancient temple of Lustria where she fought against the Amazons who guarded it.[4a]
