Gorduz Backstabber is a Hobgoblin chieftain who is infamous for his ability to survive and outlast many of his rivals, often due to his own underhanded machinations against them. He often serves as a powerful warleader for the Hobgoblin troops that willingly serve the Chaos Dwarfs of Zharr-Naggrund.

All fame is fleeting and all glory ultimately fades away. The renown of the Hobgoblin chieftains tends to fade away more quickly than most, usually with the help of a dagger, poison or "nasty accident." Gorduz Backstabber has outlived most of the other tribal leaders thanks to a naturally distrustful disposition and lashings of low cunning. He has also been lucky as the hardened scar tissue that criss-crosses his massive bony shoulder hump testifies. Fated, lucky, or just plain sneaky, call it what you will, Gorduz Backstabber has an enduring talent for survival.[1b]

Having outlived most of his fellow tribal leaders, Gorduz Backstabber's naturally distrustful disposition and lashings of cunning grant him an enduring talent for survival. With thick scars crisscrossing his shoulders, Gorduz's luck carries him far on the battlefield.[3]

Focusing on melee combat, this sneaky warrior works his way behind enemy lines either on foot or mounted atop a Giant Wolf for faster movement.[3]

Wargear[]

Gorduz wears lighter, lamellar armour in the Far Eastern style and carries a shield and axe. He may take a Giant Wolf as his mount.[1b][3]

  • Dagger of Malice - This short, curved dagger whispers thoughts of murder and violence to any that grasp its hilt, and remains gleaming, no matter how much bloody work it has done. [4a]
  • Banner of Slavery - This magical banner created by the artifice of the Chaos Dwarfs is the mighty standard of their servant the mercenary Hobgoblin chieftain Gorduz Backstabber. The Banner of Slavery carries the emblem of the ziggurat of the great Temple of Zharr, and is richly embellished by Dwarf runes of tyranny and destruction. Fire and ash bleed from it casting a pall of shadow and those Hobgoblins under its influence have no choice but to acknowledge subjugation to their dark masters and their inevitable victory.[4a]
