The High Elven adventurer Gilead Lothain

Gilead Lothain is a High Elven warrior and adventurer who wanders the Old World.[1a]

A shadow of melancholy accompanies Gilead Lothain wherever he goes, always accompanied by his faithful companion, the ancient fencing master Fithvael, the last of the High Elves of the Tower of Tor Anrok. They search all over the Old World for some remnant of their lost people, often driven by pain and anguish.[1a]

Gilead is a master swordsman who can enter a state of rapid shadow, in which his movements are so fast that to the naked eye he is nothing more than a blur, and he even appears to be in several places at once.[1]

Gilead the Elf King is known to be a very popular song in the Old World.[2a]

History[]

Gilead 1

Gilead Lothain, High Elf adventurer and wanderer of the Old World

Several years ago, Gilead Lothain's twin brother, Galeth Lothain, was kidnapped by a gang known as the Scavengers. Gileath and a group of his fellow High Elves from Tor Anrok carried out a rescue mission, but during its course Galeth was killed. This terrible event affected Gilead severely, since he felt as if a part of his own soul had been torn out with that great loss, and he vowed revenge for his brother's loss. For years Gilead searched for the murderer of his brother, until he finally fulfilled his objective. However, avenging his twin's death ultimately did not comfort Gileath's damaged soul.[1]

The return home to his servant Fithvael was not as expected. During the time he had been wandering, looking for his brother's killer, all the inhabitants of Tor Anrok had left the Elven settlement without a trace, leaving the place completely abandoned. For years, Gilead lived alone in the abandoned fortress, absorbed by the anguish and melancholy which he tried to drown with the High Elven wine he had in the cellar.[1]

Finally, Gilead's faithful companion Fithvael managed to lift him from his stupor and convince him to abandon the burdens of the past. Gilead decided to take everything that was useful to him and go out into the Old World in search of his missing people, sure that some remnant of the people of Tor Anrok must exist somewhere in the Known World. Accompanied by the faithful Fithvael, his travels took him to different places across the Old World and into conflicts with many different factions, though he has not yet discovered any leads that might help him solve the mystery of Tor Anrok and discover what remains of his people.[1]
