The Gift of Beasts is a reward given to his Chaos Chosen by Khorne, which grants them the service of a daemonic beast or other daemonic servant so that they might better do his bidding in the mortal world.[1a]
To aid his Chosen, the Blood God sometimes grants them servants and creatures to aid their quest for blood and skulls, such as the Bloodsteeds of sometimes used by Khornate cavalry or the twisted warhounds that are kept by the tribes of the Shadowlands.
But the most valued of all such gifts are the daemonic beasts of Khorne's own packs: the Juggernauts and Flesh Hounds. Khorne does not give his Chosen innate mastery over these creatures, for if they are not worthy to tame and break the beasts themselves they are not worthy to call themselves his Chosen. For those that fail in this task, the Blood God will allow his "gift" to tear their bodies apart and break their bones to marrow.
