Fu-Chow is a large port city that serves as the capital of Grand Cathay's Eastern Provinces and perhaps the greatest port in all the Celestial Empire.[3c]

The port city of Fu-Chow is an enormous centre of international trade and its docks and harbour are among the most important in all Cathay. It has many ghettos in which dwell inhabitants of the different mortal races and from different realms of the world of Mallus, including an area for Dwarfs, and a large population of High Elves. Fu-Chow may in fact be the most cosmopolitan city in the world.[1][2]

From here, the Sea Dragon Yin-Yin rules over eastern Cathay, and the Celestial Empire's Great Dragon Fleet is also harboured in Fu-Chow.[1][2]

It was here that captain Yin-Tuan had an Imperial Dragon tattooed on his back at an opium house.[3a]

The shanties of Fu-Chow are known as a lair for the worst pirate scum of the Far East.[4a]

Great Dragon Fleet Home Port[]

Fu-Chow is home to Grand Cathay's massive merchant and naval fleet, called the Great Dragon Fleet. Sitting at the mouth of the Jade River, the docks of Fu-Chow welcome all to the thriving mercantile city. Alive with activity, the harbour groans beneath the common throngs, greeting sea-worn faces from all across the Known World. Besides the grand fleet of Cathayan and foreign merchant ships alwways present in the port, bustling crowds make their way into the city, marvelling at the fulcrum of international trade before them.[4b][4c][4d]
