Ancient sketch of Fror, drawn from the Liber Chaotica by Richter Kless, later declared insane.
Fror is an ancient Chaos Weapon that was last seen during the Great War Against Chaos. It had the unique ability to erupt into flames when drawn from its scabbard.
History[]
Hanz Grunfeld was an Imperial officer during the Great War Against Chaos in 2302 IC and he left a journal of his experience with the dreaded weapon. He and his retinue of spearmen stood before a dark warrior encased in armour that writhed and twisted before their eyes. Even as he and his troops dug their spear shafts into the ground, bracing a charge, the lone warrior simply moved his hand towards a concealed sword at his hip.[1a]
He drew it with a fluid motion and brought it up above his head where, with a flash of light, the blade itself ignited and burst into flames. For a moment, the Imperials had hoped that their wizards had called down their hellfire upon the lone warrior, but he merely laughed at the burning sword and with a single stroke beheaded both the spear-tips and a brace of the first rank of Imperial troops in front of him, charring their clothes and their necks as their heads fell to the ground.[1a]
Chaos Weapon Property[]
Fror has the special Chaos Weapon property known as Flame. Whenever it is unsheathed, the blade of the sword will always ignite into flames that can sear enemies into ruin.[2a]
