"Queen Freya! Destroyer of the Redmaw Tribe, conqueror of the stunted thieves and slayer of the Great Fang! Lover of a thousand men and Mistress of the Eastern Plains, I come before you to pay homage to your father, and to sup from your strength to measure it against my own!"
Freya, known as the "Destroyer of the Redmaw Tribe,"[1a] was the queen of the Asoborn, a feral, matriarchal tribe of Men that lived in the region of the north-central Old World that later became part of the Empire of Man. She is said to have strangled her incompetent husband and led her tribe to greater glory as a result.[1b]
Freya bore an illegitimate son to the Unberogen king Sigmar Heldenhammer, later the first Emperor of Man and the current patron deity of the Empire. It is unknown if his bloodline continues to the present day through this child. For all intents, the Cult of Sigmar and the Empire's people believe Sigmar bore no true heirs.[1b]
Queen Freya famously rode a chariot at the First Battle of Black Fire Pass.[2a]
