May or may not be related to the Floating Isles.

The origins of the Floating Village are shrouded in mystery. The primitive huts and wooden longhouse that make up the village itself float twenty feet above the ground yet never seem to be affected by the fierce winds that sweep across the region. During the day, the village is tethered to the ground, but at sunset the ropes are released and the village floats back into the sky. Many have argued that the Archimancer Fozzrik was behind the creation of the Floating Village, and there is much evidence to support this theory. It certainly seems reasonable that Fozzrik may indeed have sought to perfect his arcane techniques in such a secluded area, but if the village's tribesmen are aware of its origins, they have yet to reveal them.[1a]
