The path of the loremaster has always been one fraught with temptation. Elves are compulsive by nature, obsessive in pursuing their chosen course - even if it leads them into danger. So had it ever been for Kerrinath, who many times met with censure from his fellow loremasters for delving into long-forbidden arts. With Morathi's arrival in Ulthuan, not only did Kerrinath have a patron who was content for him to explore sorcery, he also had a tutor - not that Morathi had any intention of sharing more than a fraction of her knowledge, of course.[1a]
