"You are in the dungeons of the Palace of Penitence, guest of his divine eminence, Falhedar il Toorissi, Scourge of the Bermini, Conqueror of the Medgidal hill kings, Defender of the Faithful, and Caliph of our fair city of Ras Karim."
- —Falhedar il Toorissi's spokesman to Gotrek and Felix[1a]
Falhedar il Toorissi was the Caliph of the Arabyan city of Ras Karim, ruling his people with an iron fist.[1a] His tyrannical reign ended with a coup orchestrated by his cousin, Yuleh il Toorissi, and a former member of his court, Halim il Saredi, in which Falhedar lost his life and power.[1b][1c]
Falhedar il Toorissi was known as the Scourge of the Bermini, Conqueror of the Medgidal hill kings, Defender of the Faithful, and Caliph of Ras Karim.[1a]
History[]
Falhedar was the heir to the ruler of Ras Karim. The previous ruling caliph was a wise and just man, qualities that Falhedar did not share.[1a] They soon tried to end his life, and after that incident, the court sorceror, Dujedi il Kaadiq, made for him a magical crown, the Serpent Crown. It would protect him against all attack, and Falhedar, in his obsession, sewed it to his scalp.[1d] Kaadiq also created some mighty warriors, using his sorcery, to protect the prince. Known as the Crimson Guard, warriors made of granite and magic, fight as one, being almost invincible to any warrior who faces them. Only by killing the wizard could they be killed. But none of this could guarantee Falhedar's safety. During the revolt in Ras Karim, Halim and her cousin infiltrated the caliph's palace with the help of many rebels, and after an arduous fight, they ended up stabbing Falhedar, thus ending his life.[1c]
He was of middle height and build and age but magnificently dressed in white clothes. His face was round and childish, always set by the golden coil of the Serpent Crown.[1e]
