"Behold the mighty Eoloran Anar, lord of these lands," shouted Eothlir. "You are trespassers in this realm. Lord Anar demands that this ragged mob departs immediately and slinks back to the dark holes that spawned it. He renounces the accusations of cowards who would slaughter those that cannot protect themselves, and dares his unworthy foes to match their blades against true warriors. He is not without mercy and will hear the pleas of all who beg forgiveness for the crimes they have committed. All who recant their false faith will be granted the peace of Isha."

Banner of Nagarythe
Eoloran Anar (also spelled Eolaran) hailed as Eoloran the Proud[3a] and the "Lord of the Anars" was the first to raise Aenarion's standard, and was second only to Caledor Dragontamer in the Phoenix King's esteem. As he left for new wars in the colonies, Malekith committed to his stewardship the lands of eastern Nagarythe in the hills and mountains of the Annulii. In Aenarion and Malekith’s name Eoloran ruled, and there was peace and prosperity for an age.[1a]
Eoloran was a wise prince and was content to raise the power and privilege of House Anar without conflict, though he sent his son Eothlir to fight in the colonies for a time so that he might know something of war. His wife having died in the war with the daemons, Eoloran became reclusive, though always ready to answer the calls of the lesser nobles of Nagarythe. Other, more ambitious princes grew in renown and the deeds of Eoloran faded from memory except within the halls of Elanardris.[1a]
Jealous of the power granted to Eoloran, though he did not wield it often, Morathi wove tangled politics to isolate the Anars from the rest of Ulthuan while all the while strengthening her grip upon Anlec and Nagarythe.[1a]
Later, after Malekith's rebellion and the death of Phoenix King Bel-Shanaar, Eoloran was captured by Morathi's cultists and taken to the dungeons of Anlec. He was never seen again.[2a]
Trivia[]
