WMC Great Eagle

The Great Eagles that accompany the High Elves in war are the largest specimens of their kind.

An eagle is a large, powerful bird of prey known for its keen eyesight, strong build, and soaring flight. It often symbolises strength, vision, freedom, and nobility in various Human cultures and among the Asur of Ulthuan.

Heraldry[]

The eagle is a recurring symbol throughout the heraldry of Tilea, Estalia and the Empire of Man, most commonly associated with the Classical Goddess Myrmidia. As the patron deity of war, strategy, and discipline, Myrmidia is often represented by the eagle, a creature known for its sharp sight and hunting prowess. Imperial generals and high-ranking commanders devoted to Myrmidia frequently bear the eagle on their standards, armour, or shields.[1b]

In the province of Talabecland, the eagle takes on an alternate significance. Although traditionally linked to Myrmidia, the eagle is used in Talabecland as a symbol of Taal, the god of nature, animals and wild places. In this context, it represents Taal's sharp sight.[1a]
