"I is not for waiting! We should get out there and smash em' good now. I is not for waiting!"
- —Drilla Gitsmash, Black Orc King of the Dark Lands.[1]
Drilla Gitsmash was the dour leader of Drillaz Killaz and King of the Dark Lands' Black Orcs.
History[]
At the onset of the End Times, Drilla Gitsmash made the long journey from the Dark Lands to the warcamp of the Goblin Warboss, Skarsnik. Having heard of the Goblin's meteoric rise, he fully intended to slay him and claim his vast Waaagh! for the Black Orcs.[1]
Upon his arrival, Skarsnik's Shaman, Duffskul, noted that he was the single biggest Orc he had ever seen, his face hidden behind a tusked helmet that muffled a deep, foreign-sounding voice. While this made him fearful enough, the contraption that the Warboss rode upon decided it. Drilla Gitsmash's mount was a clanking, mechanical War Boar, its black iron spellmarked with the runes of the curly-bearded tusked stunties of the Dark Lands. Steam hissed from its pistons and its hooves cracked the very ground it walked upon.[1]
After just a few raids, and despite his initial plan for conquest, Drilla realised he was in the presence of greatness. Skarsnik rewarded him with a prime, frontline position within the Waaagh!, and Drilla and his boyz soon established themselves as being among its fiercest warriors.[1]
Death[]
"Oi! Squeaker! I'm gonna have you!"
- —Gitsmasha's challenge to the Headtaker.[1]
Alas, at the height of Skarsnik's war against the Skaven, Gitsmash met his end.[1]
While battling the rat-men of Clan Mors, the Warboss and his Black Orcs encountered the Red Guard, led by Queek Headtaker himself. Having spotted the infamous Skaven Warlord, Drilla and his boyz altered the course of their charge and flawlessly turned into the ranks of the elite Stormvermin. They were no goblins, but the ultimate Orcs, bred by magic in the slave pits of Zharr-Naggrund. They smashed down the Red Guard with their huge axes. The Red Guard desperately tried to keep Drilla and his Orcs at arm's length with their halberds, felling several but nonetheless losing ground to the fearless Greenskins.[1]
It was then that Drilla pushed his way forwards and levelled his massive, two-handed axe at Queek. He roared and charged, bowling over a Red Guard who got in the way, trampling him down into the ground beneath his armoured boots. Queek spun round as the overconfident Orc's momentum carried him past, then he smashed the spike of Dwarf Gouger through the back of Drilla's chest. The Warboss expressed his surprise, before Queek's sword pierced the visor of his helmet, causing the massive Orc to fall heavily...[1]
Seeing their leader cut down disturbed the Black Orcs, and the Red Guard pressed their advantage on the previously dominant Greenskins, completely encircling them. Clanrat regiments soon cut their way through a broken Goblin vanguard to join Queek and his regiment. The Orcs, reduced to a knot surrounded by embraved Skaven, were eventually defeated, with their great banner falling at the hands of Queek's lieutenant, Ska Bloodtail.[1]
