Dervingard was a fortified outpost of Kislev located in the far north, on the edge of the Chaos Wastes. It was initially under the command of the Boyar Slavin Kurnz, until he abandoned his post and fell to Chaos, becoming the leader of a warband of northern Marauders. It was then briefly occupied by Skollden "the Wolf of Dervingard", a Chaos Chieftain of the Gharhars, before being taken back by Prince Yuri Barkov and his relief expedition.[1a]
Thanks to the machinations of Be'lakor, Yuri himself later fell to Chaos, travelling north into the Realm of Chaos and becoming a Daemon Prince. The fate of Dervingard and its inhabitants after this is unknown.[1a]
