The Dark Knight, whose true name was Lord Falk of Castle Reces, is an Undead Wight who was once a powerful Knight of the Realm in the service of the Bretonnian Royarch Louis the Righteous, until one day in a fit of jealousy he murdered a Grail Damsel of the Lady of the Lake. His retainers burned his castle to the ground, but his plate armour survived, horribly blackened and animated by his ferocious will. Now the Dark Knight is the captain and herald of the Undead host in the service of the Vampire knight known as the Red Duke, cursed to fight an eternal battle in the ranks of the dead.[1a]
The Dark Knight is much more powerful than most of the Wights that plague the mortal world. He feeds on the essence of the living.
Wargear[]
- Ghost Blade - The Ghost Blade carried by the Dark Knight is an ancient and deadly magical weapon.[1a]
Canon Conflict[]
In the novel The Red Duke by C.L. Werner, Lord Falk was divided into two characters. Sir Corbinian acts as the Red Duke's Wight lieutenant, and his title of the "Dark Knight" was given to the Holy Knight, after he became a Vampire.
