Clan Lianllach is one of the four most important Sea Elf clans of Elftown, the Elf quarter of the city-state of Marienburg.[1a]
Known as the hardest bargainers and most ruthless competitors among the Sea Elves, Clan Lianllach has no lord at the moment, being led by a Council of Wavemasters after the treason of their previous clan lord. It has the second largest fleet among the Sea Elves of Elftown, after Clan Ulliogtha, and trades extensively in Nippon, Grand Cathay and Lustria.[1a]
Late-night whispers have it that it also maintains an illegal commerce with the Dark Elves of Naggarond, though this is unproven. The clan is aggressive and chauvinistic in its dealings with Marienburg and the other Sea Elf clans, and is largely responsible for any reputation for arrogance the Sea Elves have in the city.[1a]
