Chylis Lightbringer is a High Elf Mage from Saphery. She served as Tower of Volans Ritual Leader during Thyrus Gormann's term as Supreme Patriarch, meaning she was one of several High Elf mages whom High Loremaster Teclis stationed in Altdorf to supervise the Empire's Colleges of Magic.[1a]
In her role as ritual leader she advised and reported to Thyrus Gormann, but her true loyalty was to Teclis. She found Altdorf tiresome and was visibly disinterested in human magisters. She lived upstairs in the Sapherian Embassy.[1a]
She had secret orders from Teclis to activate a failsafe device in the case of a magical emergency. The device is an augmentation crystal, which can subdue the Winds of Magic as they flow through Altdorf. But the augmentation crystal is itself dangerous, and if improperly used could open up a portal to the Realm of Chaos. Chylis stored the crystal in the vaults under the Cathedral of Sigmar.[1a]
Chylis Lightbringer has ankle-length silver hair. A powerful mage, her preferred lores are Aqshy, Azyr, and Ghyran.[1a]
